Below is the job description for the position:

Position Title - Azure Cloud Solution Architect

Location - Austin, Texas (Hybrid work 2 Days/Week)

Duration- 12 Months (with possible extension)

CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCAL TO AUSTIN, TEXAS

At least 1 active cloud certification. Azure Solution Architect Expert is required

Description:

The Azure Cloud Solution Architect will be in an operational role, with the goal of improving the architecture discipline and security posture. This includes, but not limited to:

• Improving secure adoption of cloud architecture and technologies
• Identif ying and documenting security/technical deficiencies for organizational prioritization
• Implementing process improvements and checklists for architectural review and approval
• Supporting the Architecture Review Board (ARB) on project specific research and action items
• Contributing to standards, patterns, and building blocks for architectural reuse
• Fulfilling the solution architect role on ITD projects as needed

Required Skills:

• 4 - 7 Years - Experience designing and implementing Azure cloud computing architecture, cloud deployment models, and workloads.
• 4 - 7 Years - Experience designing and implementing Azure cloud security architecture and employing relevant tools.
• 4 - 7 Years - Experience designing and implementing Azure networking concepts and security best practices to optimize the protection of cloud infrastructure and data.
• 4 - 7 Years - Understanding of business requirements and ability to align Azure cloud solutions with business objectives.
• 4 - 7 Years - Experience defining Azure cloud computing vision, strategy, standards, or reference architecture.
• 2 Years - Ability to write scripts in a programming language such as Python, Terraform, or JavaScript to automate cloud deployment and management tasks.
• 2 Years - Experience implementing DevSecOps for Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field.
• At least 1 active cloud certification. Azure Solution Architect Expert
