The primary responsibility of this role is to design battery materials with advanced computational methods especially molecular dynamics. The position requires staying abreast of the emerging fields of materials simulation, performing original research, publishing/presenting results and involving in collaborative research. Candidate must be able to work effectively with a diverse group of scientists and engineers in collaborative research. The person in this role will support the Material Research department's objective to Material Informatics research.

Requirements:

Basic requirements

• Current PhD student only in physics, materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, computer science or related technical fields.
• Expertise in molecular dynamics simulation.
• Self-motivated, intelligent individual with initiative and drive for overcoming technical challenges.
• Solid track record of publishing in scientific journals.
• Regularly report and present to the research team and management.
• Knowledge of batteries.

Preferred requirements

• Hand-on experience in developing and/or applying Machine Learning Potential for material discovery
