Informa Markets is Hiring a Procurement Specialist Near Fort Lauderdale, FL

Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets. Job Description

Role Accountability and Duties :

  • Open ServiceNow tickets to initiate new supplier creation. Oversees ticket processing from beginning to end, to minimize delays and ensure seamless completion.
  • Promptly collects then monitors suppliers’ banking information via DocuSign and enters data into the system without error.
  • Guides managers to effectively provide identified quotes, invoices, estimates (profit centers), so recommendations for requisitions can be raised where appropriate. Follows up to confirm prompt requisition approvals.
  • Obtains final invoices from suppliers or managers to issue receipts against purchase orders and submits invoices to payables.
  • Examines and audits all open requisitions to maintain an accurate cost tracker to be used by accounting for month end closing procedures.
  • Oversees and verifies suppliers are paid timely and precisely. Investigates, troubleshoots, then reconciles any payables with issues related invoices.
  • Keeps track of venue agreements to issue payments to landlords and/or major contractual vendors on time and in accordance with the existing agreement.
  • Maintains strict audit controls.
  • Delivers requested reports to key stakeholders as required.
  • Builds strong relationships and delivers stellar customer service.
  • Occasional overtime and the ability to perform other duties as required by business needs.
Qualifications
  • Preferred candidate will have experience with contract and invoice review.
  • Excellent account reconciliation skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle preferred.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key contacts.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook are essential.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and remain approachable while working under pressure.
  • Act with integrity, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to complete a variety of related tasks simultaneously and pro-actively solve problems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible within the role.
  • Confident and highly motivated.
