An international company leader in its field is looking for a General Manager with previous experience in the packaging industry.

The General Manager is responsible for the efficient management of 3 plants in the US and operates autonomously in accordance with company strategy. The purpose of this position is to guarantee the profitability and sustainability of the business for the region.

Main Responsibilities:

· Defines and executes regional plans and business strategies in compliance with the company strategy and promotes the group vision within country teams

· Monitors the performance of the plants, takes necessary preventive and corrective actions to achieve business profitability and sustainability

· Leads the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for industrial operations of the region

· Leads, suggests and participates in projects for startups, expansions and development plans, industrialization of new product portfolios, industrial rationalization and optimization initiatives, etc.

· Supervises, coordinates and supports the local management team, promoting staff training and development at all levels

· Manages client relations at regional level and guarantees client satisfaction

· Supports quality at all levels to promote a continuous improvement mindset

· Represents the company with local authorities, financial institutions, regulatory bodies and regional stakeholders

Technical Skills:

· Excellent applied knowledge of WCM standards

· Excellent knowledge of business economics

· Good knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and/or SBM and/or IM)

· Excellent knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment rules and practices

· Excellent knowledge of English

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering

· Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Plant Manager preferably in an FMCG company
