Salary Range: $62,850.00 - $84,800.00 annually

Position Summary:The Case Management Director is the first-line manager responsible for leading the Case Management team. This role encompasses accountability and responsibility for departmental functions, including case management, concurrent coding, utilization review, financial outcomes management, social work, and patient education. The director plans, coordinates, and directs the fiscal, personnel, and patient care needs in a cost-effective manner. Collaborating with Quality Management and Nursing Directors, the director promotes positive clinical outcomes and integrates the department into the overall functioning of the organization.

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with organizational objectives.
• Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, IT, service level determination, and complaint management.
• Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education.
• Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience and education.
• Certifications/Licenses: Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license required upon hire; Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
• Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of nursing case management experience required; previous director/supervisory experience preferred.
