InfoScitex (a wholly owned subsidiary of DCS Corp.) is Hiring an Airworthiness Technical Analyst Near Huntsville, AL

DCS is an employee-owned company focused on providing engineering, programmatic, and technical support services to the Department of Defense and other national security customers. Our Joint Systems Division is seeking a Utility Helicopters Airworthiness Technical Analyst to serve a key role in the execution of program tasks that involve analysis or evaluation of technical or logistics management aspects of UH-60 series helicopter programs.

Essential Job Functions:

Performs project tasks involving application of specialized technical, logistics, or general management (or acquisition management) skills and knowledge to business/technical systems, subsystems, models/simulations, or architectures.

Serves in major support role to project leader and as a key member on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as a part of an acquisition, development, validation, or test program and provide independent technical support to the AvMC SRD Utility Division.

Supports the database and track relevant tasks as well as formally document qualification status for programs during events such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).

Analyze all available data on proposed/accepted hazards and prepare recommended airworthiness positions in support of issuance of safety messages to include positions on potential hazards, Airworthiness Impact Statements, Safety of Flight, Aviation Safety Action Messages, and Aviation Maintenance Action Messages.

Reviews and provides recommended safety courses of action for Original Equipment Manufacturer Commercial Bulletins and Evaluate Deficiency Reports.

Evaluates and provides an airworthiness technical position to Maintenance Work Orders, ECPs, and/or other applicable technical documentation for modifications to aircraft.

Reviews aircraft, systems, and parts for Critical Safety Items requirements and document engineering testing requirements, including critical characteristics.

Provides a recommended airworthiness technical position for U.S. Army spare part vendor intercepts, post award, and acquisition red item actions.

Reviews Source Approval Requests packages and provide a recommended technical position for approval or disapproval.

Prepares a recommended technical position for Request for Deviations and Requests for Waiver.

Considers all technical comments and provide airworthiness recommendations on repair procedures for Maintenance Engineering Orders and maintenance tasks/work packages for input into aircraft platform maintenance Technical Manuals (TMs).

Reviews all available data, technical comments, and provide a technical position document for field/user submitted DA Form 2028s, for Army TMs.

Offers technical airworthiness recommendations on IPTs, support test witnessing, and provide inputs to process documents and standing operating procedures.

Works with government system engineers and other contractors to develop modernized methods and tools for improving products and processes, such as model based System Engineering and System Safety.

Provides technical position recommendations regarding efforts required to support each UHPMO program, including Statements of Work, System Readiness Reviews, and Test Readiness Reviews.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Security Clearance.

Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience; 8 - 12 years of experience performing daily/phase maintenance actions, maintenance work orders, depot maintenance work repairs, etc., including supervisory and technical inspector responsibilities for military UH-60/HH-60/MH-60 helicopters or civilian model equivalents.

Experience should include removal and installation of aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, avionics/electrical systems and mechanical flight controls; preparing aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks, diagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical issues, etc.

Desired Skills:

Demonstrated competency in project management, logistics management, and/or systems engineering functions related to aircraft modernization.

Proven experience in conducting risk and technical analyses.

Ability to work well independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.

A self-motivated analytical thinker with excellent time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively to meet tight and enforced operational and annual deadlines.

Attention to detail and quality of work and the ability to consistently exercise sound and decisive judgment.

Strong oral and written communication skills.
