**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a part of the InfoSync team, you will be working closely with staff across all departments to deliver excellent customer service to clients across diverse brands.

**Job Responsibilities:**

* Database management and performance tuning for an enterprise MSSQL server system consisting of around 20 servers across production and non-production environments

* Evaluating performance metrics such as locking, I/O, wait types

* Situation management of incidents related to database operations

* Identifying and resolving performance issues, including identification of poorly performing queries, hardware/memory issues, locking, index optimization

* Work closely with Systems Architect and other development teams to oversee, design and optimize the database layer for new and existing application development initiatives

* Monitor and optimize SQL agent jobs, working with other development teams

* Manage database access and security

* Manage backups and disaster recovery planning

* Monitor replication publishers and subscribers

* Evaluate/recommend database tools and best practice

* Perform SQL server upgrades and migrations

* Capacity planning

**Skills:**

* 5 years experience in database administration and design

* Expert level T-SQL skills including writing stored procedures, functions, views, management and monitoring scripts

* Strong familiarity with performance and monitoring tools such as SQL profiler, DM views, PerfMon, and/or other 3rd party tools

* Excellent DB design skills including proper use of data types, primary/foreign keys, indexes, etc.

* Familiarity with transactional replication

* Experience with Azure SQL is a plus

* Experience with SSIS is a plus

* Microsoft DBA certifications a plus
