Network Engineer

Overview

Seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to provide on-site network engineer support services for existing Cisco Synchronous Optical Network (SONET), Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and other network infrastructure.

Duties

• Monitor Cisco SONET/DMDW Network for faults/equipment degradations or failures.
• Cutover of circuits identified by the client.
• Install new circuits on the the SONET network.
• Perform preventative and ongoing maintenance activities. Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation and continuity manuals.
• Plan and execute support as required for the Cisco SONET and DMDW specific projects to ensure peak optimum efficiency of the SONET network including all upgrades and expansions.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in Cisco SONET/DWDM, Wide Area Network, Metropolitan Area Network and Local Area Network technology.
• Must have recent experience with Cisco SONET/DWDM infrastructure.
• Must possess CompTIA SEC certification as a minimum.
• Must be a US citizen.
