Infrahire is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Cambridge, MA

InfraHire is looking for a Electrical Estimator in Cambridge, MA.ResponsibilitiesThe Electrical Estimator will be required to:
  • Review and evaluate project plans, specs and bid documents to produce an accurate and detailed cost proposal.
  • Commit to deadlines and deliver accurate estimates in a timely manner.
  • Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings.
  • Participate in bid review with management.
  • Execute and input material, labor, and equipment take-offs in computer based estimating software.
  • Identify and document difficult/ non-standard conditions.
  • Coordinate with Preconstruction Team to identify and fill scope gaps.
  • Obtain quotes and coordinate/qualify scope with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Provide value engineering ideas.
  • Verify estimate accuracy by comparing data versus similar bids.
  • Form strong working relationships with distributors, subcontractors, estimators, architects, and engineers.
QualificationsMinimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Minimum 2-5 years estimating experience in the construction industry. Electrical experience preferred but not a requirement.
  • Previous field experience preferred but not required.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities with interruptions and still meet deadlines.
  • Detailed orientated, self-starter that can communicate effectively with office personnel, engineers, subcontractors, architects and owners.
  • Excellent listening and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
