Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Ownership of the month-end close process (in accordance with GAAP and company policy), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial transactions, including
- Preparation of month-end journal entries
- Analysis of general ledger accounts
- Preparation and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations with proper supporting documentation
- Compilation and analysis of financial statements, including monthly fluctuation analysis on the balance sheet and income statement
- Support inventory maintenance and reconciliations; generating and posting journal entries adjustments
- Backup for accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Performs ad hoc financial analysis regarding potential opportunities for improvement
- Drive continuous improvement by streamlining, improving, and automating accounting processes
- Produce training materials by documenting your regularly completed tasks
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant, progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting background is a plus
- Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
