ING Australia is Hiring a Senior Manager, Business Controls Office Near Sydney, FL

ING, Australia’s most recommended bank is looking for a Senior Manager, Business Controls to join our team! Reporting directly to the Retail BCO Lead, this role will be responsible for supporting the Core Banking Program in the identification and management of non financial risk (operational, regulatory and compliance risks) in line with the Risk Appetite Statement, policies and regulatory obligations. This role forms an integral part of the Retail business 1 st Line of Defence.
What You’ll Do
  • Support in the definition, management and control of delivery risks for the program, as well as oversee the management and reporting of delivered/introduced risk in ING Australia. This will include a review and assessment of risk and control frameworks for all in scope processes and provide support and advice on the design, implementation and automation of new controls
  • Be the senior level adviser to Core Banking Program in the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of non financial risks specifically the assessment of Risk in Change.
  • Develop and enhancing processes and playbooks, tools and templates and reporting to support Core Banking in adhering to the Risk Framework and policies
  • Monitor and tracking non financial risk items (issues, events, audit actions) and ensuring timely actioning aligned to policy and procedure
  • Provide reporting, analysis and insights to support the Core Banking program and Non Financial Risk Committee in effective identification and management of non financial risks
What We’re Looking For
  • 8 years’ experience in a Retail Banking/ Financial Services environment
  • Previous experience in a Risk or Compliance role (Financial or Non Financial) either within 3 Lines of Defense
  • Understanding of key regulatory and compliance regimes associated with credit products and Retail Banking products in general (AML/ KYC, Privacy, Banking Code of Practice, Consumer Credit Code etc.)
  • Sound knowledge of retail banking and COO systems and business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to breathe new life into organisation ― to revitalise ways of thinking, behaving and working, whilst keeping an eye on employee satisfaction across the organisation
