Butech Heavy Assembler - 1st Shift

Location

Onsite at Burbank CA

Job Summary

Assemble, fabricate, and test mechanical parts, systems, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment(s) and products.
• Utilize manual tools and pneumatic tools.
• Maintain inventory of product in work stations.
• Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness (5S) of work area daily
• Participate in continuous improvement goals of the work site

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in heavy assembly
• Attendance
• Production
• Quality
• Professional Attitude and Teamwork
• Regularly lift between 30 50 pounds
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks
• Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately

Travel & Work Arrangements / Requirements

Fully site based

Key Competencies

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to use various power (pneumatic) hand tools (i.e.; power screwdriver, socket etc.)
• Ability to understand blueprints.
• Computer knowledge a must!

Starting Pay is $21.88 per hour but may be adjusted based on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.
