Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Operator is responsible for the safe unloading of raw products via rail car and/or tanker trailer. This role also performs the washing and sanitizing of food grade tanker trailers with hot water and then loads finished product for customer use. Responsible for other duties and responsibilities as assigned. This position is for third shift: 9:00PM until 6:30AM Sunday through Thursday.

Your success will be measured as follows.

• Follows and complies with all appropriate company safety rules and regulations, including but not limited to OSHA, and all local, state, or federal agencies to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Follows all appropriate safety and standard operating procedures while loading and unloading product.
• Loads finished product onto liquid and dry trailers.
• Unloads raw materials from liquid and dry railcars and trailers.
• Operates forklift, tractors, trailers and/or moving railcars using hand jack or forklift.
• Prepares work orders for major maintenance or repairs to equipment.
• Ability to recognize emergency situations and implement appropriate responses.
• Cleans and maintain assigned work areas.
• Reports any vehicle or equipment defects, accidents, injuries, and vehicle or equipment damage.
• Accurately completes needed paperwork, reporting, and forms.
• Assists in cleaning and repair tasks.
• Uses of all types of hand tools (I.E.: railcar bars, railcar vibrator, pneumatic railcar gate opener, shovels, wrenches, etc.)
• Operates power/air tools and equipment (I.E.: rail car bar, fork lift, etc.)
• Manufactures sucrose, invert & other specific products for our customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
