JOB DESCRIPTION :

The Data Center Hands and Feet Support Technician isresponsible for providing onsite support to maintain andtroubleshoot hardware and infrastructure within a data centerenvironment.

This role involves performing a variety of tasksincluding physical equipment installation troubleshooting hardwareissues and executing remote instructions from offsitetechnicians.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Physical Support and Maintenance :
• Install move and decommission servers networkdevices and other hardware components.

Perform physicalhardware inspections and troubleshooting.

• Handle cabling tasks including running patching andmanaging cables.
• Replace hardware componentssuch as hard drives memory modules power supplies etc.
• OperationalSupport :
• Assist in the setup andconfiguration of data center equipment.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks asdirected.
• Ensure proper labeling anddocumentation of hardware and cabling.
• RemoteAssistance :
• Act as the onsitepresence for remote technical teams.
• Executeremote instructions accurately and promptly.
• Provide realtime feedback and updates to remote teamsduring troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Site Support
• Travel to the sites covered by this position based on therequirement urgency and priority
• Support theEnd Users with their physical connectivity issues
• Monitoring andReporting :
• Monitor data centerinfrastructure for alerts and issues.
• Reportany discrepancies malfunctions or abnormalities to the appropriateteams.
• Compliance andSafety :
• Adhere to all data centerpolicies and procedures.
• Follow safetyprotocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatoryrequirements.
• Qualifications :
• Education : High school diploma orequivalent; technical certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Network) are aplus.
• Experience : Previous experience in adata center or IT support role preferred.
