Essential Functions:
- Manage job site safety, quality, and schedule for assigned projects from pre-construction to closeout.
- Ensure Inland Crane, Inc.’s standards of quality and safety are adhered to by assertively championing Inland Crane, Inc.’s safety culture to project team and subcontractors.
- Work collaboratively with SPM and SPS, project team members, and field. Represent Inland Crane, Inc. in a professional manner.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, Construction Managers, project team, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, trade unions, and governmental agencies.
- Responsible for the project set-up, job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule.
- Review all project documents for constructability and content, including shop drawings.
- Maintain and update project records including RFI’s, ASI’s and as-builts.
- Create and enforce a site-specific emergency action plan for assigned projects in collaboration with the SPS and SPM.
- Perform daily job site walks and submit daily safety audit reports.
- Conduct and/or attend Foreman meetings, pre-task meeting, safety meetings and project staff meetings.
- Manage job site manpower production and performance.
- Use project management and scheduling software effectively.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Foreman, Superintendent, or equivalent role, in the construction industry. Degree in Construction Management, or related field, preferred. SPS candidates must have a solid understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work, and relevant technology.
- Key competencies are leadership, initiative, communication, teamwork, managing for results, and coaching & mentoring. Must be able to read plans and specifications. Engineering qualification(s) or equivalent experience in engineering / construction preferable.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently plan / prioritize all areas of responsibility, on a daily basis.
- $140,000.00 - $175,000.00 range depending on experience.
