Bach to Rock Redmond (B2R) America's Music School for students of all ages is a growing, agile and highly rated music school. This position is for a part-time employee to provide music and performance lessons, primarily voice, piano, guitar, bass, drums, and ukulele - group instruction and rock band/ensemble instruction highly desireable. We provide an opportunity to work a flexible part-time schedule (we're open Monday through Saturday) in a fun environment with other like-minded musicians. We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing and other business aspects of the lessons & group classes so that you can focus on teaching.
Position Responsibilities:

• Teach private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums (or other) located at our Redmond (WA) school.
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere.
• Assess a student's readiness to join a band or ensemble.
• Help students work on performances.
• Optional - Teach group lessons or rock bands/ensembles.
• Optional - Teach recording arts and/or record sessions in our recording studio on Pro Tools

Requirements:

• Must be able to read music notation and have a good understanding of music theory.
• Must possess advanced technique and be able to demonstrate this on their primary instrument(s).
• Effective time management and organizational skills to be on time for lessons and keep students on task.
• Comfortable as a performer (either solo or group)
• Ability to be engaging with both children and adults with a variety of personalities.
• Ability to pass a background check.

B2R offers an hourly rate that is based on education, experience, expertise, and availability.

Salary: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour, DOE
