Position Overview: The Head of Retail operations will be responsible for creating and executing retail strategies that align with company objectives while overseeing the distribution networks in both domestic and, preferably, international markets. This individual will play a crucial role in expanding our retail footprint, building strong partnerships, and ensuring operational efficiency across all distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's retail strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market opportunities.
- Oversee the expansion and management of retail operations, including identifying new markets and regions for growth.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and channel operators across various global markets.
- Lead negotiations with retailers and distributors to optimize terms, pricing, and supply chain logistics.
- Manage the distribution network, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products across regions.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and manage budgets for retail and distribution activities, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align retail and distribution efforts with product launches and promotional activities.
- Implement retail performance metrics, track performance, and continuously optimize processes to achieve sales and distribution goals.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international regulations, including tariffs, import/export policies, and local market requirements, if applicable.
- Full ownership of the departmental growth and operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management, distribution, or international business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of global retail operations, international distribution logistics, and market expansion strategies, preferred.
- Proven track record of driving growth in international markets and managing complex distribution networks, preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed business decisions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in relevant retail management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
