Location: Seattle, WA*Onsite Pay range: $50 -$55.00Per HourAs a Research Scientist Associate, you will: The Potency Group within Cell Therapy Analytical Development is responsible for potency assay development and functional characterization for cell therapy products. The Associate Scientist will assist in developing state-of-the art potency assays that support the company portfolio of preclinical and clinical-stage cell therapies. A basic understanding of the design and development of functional assays is preferred. Knowledge of T cell biology is also preferred. The role calls for close collaboration with potency team members to ensure development of high-quality functional assays.
*Key Responsibilities*

• Assist in developments of fit-for-purpose potency and/or biological characterization assays for both early- or late-stage programs.
• Works under minimal supervision for routine activities, such as experimental execution based on established protocols, data review and analysis.
• Organize findings for effective and timely communication of data, draw appropriate conclusions and design next steps.
• Maintain notebooks with detailed and timely documentation of protocols, study designs and results.
• Responsible for setting up in vitro functional assays to measure T cell function.
• Makes use of literature and organizational knowledge to solve/troubleshoot basic scientific development related problems.
  *Top Skills*
• B.S. in biological science, immunology or related discipline with 2 years of relevant work experience (see below), industrial experience preferred.
• Or M.S. with minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience, but 2 years is preferred.
• 2 years of direct cell culture experience.
• Prior experience with cGxP and/or assay development is preferred.
• Prior experience working as a team member is preferred.
