Description:Position Description:Scan, move and pick materials, supplies, and finished goods for multiple departments within the facility. The Material Handler/Media Mixer will be responsible for pulling orders off the shelves and shipping them via UPS or LTL services. They will scan, move and pick materials, supplies, and finished goods for multiple departments within the facility. This will involve packing medias securely and completing the paperwork required for shipping. This person would also be a back-up for mixing corn cob medias. This person needs to be able to work on their own at a pace set by deadlines to meet on-time deliveries to our customers.Essential Functions:Responsible for the unloading and loading of trucks, vans, flatbeds, using a forklift.Handling of material and product within the shipping and receiving area and throughout the manufacturing departments as required.Efficient and accurate picking of finished parts to prepare for shipmentsData entry of purchase orders labeling product accuratelyFollows safety guidelines for forklift operation.Keep area organized and clean.Responsible for Receiving in shipments of media & compounds and confirming quantity receivedOTHER DUTIESPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Highschool Diploma or equivalentStrong computer skills including MS Outlook, Excel and Word.Experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment working in shipping/receiving.Detail oriented with high accuracy.Strong organizational skills, and ability to set and prioritize goals.Excellent interpersonal skills.Must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a responsible manner.Knowledge of ISO procedures as relevant to shipping processes desired.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
