Innovation Academy Charter School has an opening for a Student Services Inclusion aide for the upcoming school year. Situated in Tyngsboro, MA (near the intersection of routes 3 and 495), IACS draws a diverse student body from neighboring districts, including Lowell, Dracut, and Chelmsford, as well as Tyngsboro. JOB SUMMARYInclusion aides have an important role in the success of students requiring additional support in the classroom. An inclusion aide's priority is to provide support to students with IEPs, including but not limited due implementing classroom norms, scribing,and proctoring small group testing. While the priority of the inclusion aide is to support identified students, all students in the classroom can benefit from aide support. Aides should be able to follow the direction of the classroom teacher or Student Services teacher and demonstrate flexibility in response to schedule changes due to student need. Aides are not expected to complete IACS-related work beyond their contracted hours. Aides are supervised by the Assistant Student Services Director.IACS school hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00-3:00pm. Wednesday school hours are 8:00- 1:00pm.We provide a mentoring program for staff new to the schools.
