DescriptionMain Duties & Responsibilities
- Works on product development projects as assigned.
- Operates laboratory and solid dose development and testing equipment including tablet press, tablet coater, encapsulation, disintegration, moisture, friability, etc. Carries out bench and scale up pilots of solid dose and specialty products under the supervision of a manager or lead.
- Carries out bench and scale up development of solid dose and specialty products with some direction from PD Leads.
- Creates, maintains, and reviews product documentation under the supervision of PD Leads.
- Prepares regular progress reports.
- Keeps documentation/record of all projects.
- Maintains a clean and safe laboratory environment.
- Assist with enforcing food safety program and procedures, GMP policy, and personnel hygiene policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 2-4 years of higher education and 1-2 Laboratory Experience preferred.
- General proficiency in algebra and the metric system.
- General understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Able to complete accurate and precise work in a timely manner.
- Able to effectively communicate results both written and verbally.
- Able to perform detailed and repetitive work.
- Ability to learn and use computer programs.
- Must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to meet cGMP requirements.
- Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in English to perform the essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.
- Regularly subject to normal laboratory environment.
- Occasionally subject to normal warehouse and production environment.
- Occasionally subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required, and all personnel protective equipment is required.
- Occasionally subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes, odors, powders, dust, and other particles.
