Job Overview

Innovatreat™ is seeking a skilled and experienced Process Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate should possess 5-8 years of relevant experience in the field of water/wastewater process equipment manufacturing. The Process Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical processes and systems for our innovative miniMBR® technology.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for biological wastewater treatment facilities utilizing MBR technology, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.

- Collaborate with electrical engineers, controls engineers, process engineers, technicians, and designers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into project designs.

- Conduct thorough analyses and evaluations of existing equipment and systems, identifying areas for improvement and proposing cost-effective solutions.

- Perform detailed design calculations, feasibility studies, and simulations to validate system performance and optimize overall efficiency.

- Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals.

- Prepare mechanical submittals

- Collaborate with manufacturing and field service teams to ensure smooth execution of mechanical designs and troubleshoot any issues during the manufacturing process.

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and advancements in wastewater treatment technologies, specifically related to membrane bioreactor technology.

- Participate in field visits, providing technical support and guidance to installation, commissioning, and maintenance teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field.

- Proven 5-8 years of experience in wastewater process equipment manufacturing or consulting, with a focus on process mechanical design.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment, hydraulics, piping systems, electromechanical systems, and instrumentation.

- Familiarity with membrane bioreactor technology and automated control systems is preferred.

- Proficient in using SolidWorks 3DComputer-Aided Design (CAD) software for mechanical design and drafting.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical design challenges.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information.

- Self-starter. Ability to work independently and manage multiple design tasks for multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
