Position Title: IT Transformation Project Manager
Location:Norfolk, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled IT Transformation Project Manager with a minimum of five (5) years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing IT transformation projects and a proven track record in task management, schedule development, risk management, quality management, and performance management reporting. This role requires a minimum of two (2) years of project management experience directly related to operational transition activities support in Network Operations (NetOps) C2 requirements, technology assessments, systems design, systems analysis, programmatic support, quality assurance, acquisition planning, and budget planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT transformation projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary
- Ensure quality management processes are followed and project deliverables meet the required standards
- Develop and deliver performance management reports, tracking project progress and performance metrics
- Support operational transition activities in areas including Network Operations (NetOps) C2 requirements, technology assessments, systems design, systems analysis, programmatic support, quality assurance, acquisition planning, and budget planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of project goals and deliverables
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience managing IT transformation projects
- Minimum of two (2) years of project management experience in operational transition activities support
- Proficiency in task management and coordination, schedule development and management, risk management, quality management, and performance management reporting
- Experience in Network Operations (NetOps) C2 requirements, technology assessments, systems design, systems analysis, programmatic support, quality assurance, acquisition planning, and budget planning
- DoD Cyberspace work role: Program Manager (801); proficiency level: Intermediate IAW DoDM 8140 series
- PMP certification required; ITILv4 Intermediate certification recommended
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with DoD and military environments is a plus
