Title: Technician I

Reports To: Technician Supervisor or Group Lead

Pay: $17.50/ hr. (starting rate) 12% Shift Differential

Schedule & Available Shift:

Weekend Shift/ Friday - Sunday, 5AM - 5:30PM (12hrs, 3 days)

Summary: This is an entry level position. The Associate may have little or no experience with manufacturing machines or process operations. They may have only limited technical skills. They can work on non-complex jobs or highly repetitive machines or process operations following prescribed routine or where the method of operation is obvious. Has the ability to follow demonstrated steps and perform simple adjusting to produce to a general specification. They will develop a complete understanding of hand assembly and packaging operations. This position is expected to have a working knowledge of acceptable product quality, processes and procedures. With or without training, they are able to safely run machines or processes, but may have little or no knowledge about set up or troubleshooting.

Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:Communicate rate deficiencies to management per work instructionsPerform quality process inspections per quality department procedures and engineering work instructions and document results or as instructedPositively contribute to company's safety, quality and production goalsResponsible for reporting to management any unsafe working conditionsResponsible for accurate entries in the computer time clock systemDevelop satisfactory packaging and assembly skillsRead and understand basic prints

Training/Education/ExperienceHigh School education or equivalentUp to 2 years manufacturing experience preferred; medical manufacturing experience a plusWith training, able to read and understand print drawingsProficient PC skillsCompetencies/Talents/Personal Attributes:Good communication skills, written and verbalDetail orientedPositive attitude and a team playerCan speak, understand and write EnglishMust be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
