The Assistant Vice President of Infection Prevention is responsible for developing a vision and executable plan to attain world-class effectiveness and outcomes across the Inova Health System with regard to infection prevention. This role serves as a champion for quality and accreditation programs, creating a culture of individual accountability and support that works to achieve the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, planning and implementing key strategies for infection prevention
- Supervise the key processes in support of performance improvement, including medical staff committees and peer review, PI registries, and Lean PI implementation
- Ensures successful development and deployment of Inova's Quality strategy to all care sites and service lines
- Works collaboratively with Hospital and System Quality and other clinical leaders as a resource and advisor, proactively analyzing, and seeking out opportunities to improve operational, clinical, quality, and patient satisfaction enhancement
- Partners with external organizations to ensure regulatory compliance and best practice efforts
- Identifies opportunities to optimize performance, build internal competencies, and create a more rigorous approach to quality and clinical analytics throughout the Inova system, bringing a strong focus on accountability and appropriate use of resources
Minimum Requirements
- 7 years of progressive clinical or quality leadership experience
- 5 years in a management role
- Education - Bachelor's degree in a related field required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in infection prevention at the health system level
- Demonstrated experience in leading/building infection prevention talent
- Demonstrated experience in achieving results in infection prevention outcomes
*This role does have work from home flexibility but will need to be located in Northern Virginia
