Department: Sales and Operations
Supervisor: Regional/Branch Manager
Insco Distributing is looking for a qualified operations intern to assist in the execution of branch sales and operations activities. Will work directly with Branch Management in supporting customers at the point of sale, inventory operations, merchandising of products, and the execution and analysis of promotions. You’ll gain hands-on experience working in a high tempo environment as a valued member of the team.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations
- Receive products into inventory via ERP system
- Put away products in warehouse and showroom
- Conduct cycle count and end of month inventory and reconcile variances
- Process customer warranties
- Sales Support
- Support customers at the point of the sale utilizing our ERP system
- Learn and utilize the various ways to communicate with customers
- Pull products for customers to help fulfill their orders
- Encourage add on sales items
- Warehouse material handling training
- Utilization of warehouse management system technology
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
