Inside Design Carpet One, a locally owned and operated flooring and cabinetry retailer, is hiring a sales & design consultant. Previous experience in flooring and/or cabinetry is desirable. Position includes working with clients in our showroom as well as in the home. Advise clients on product selection for their homes or businesses, managing client expectations along the way. Professional appearance and demeanor is important. Compensation will be salary through a 3 month training period, working toward inclusion in our commission schedule.

Responsibilities

• Working with clients on product selection for residential and commercial projects. Color, design, and appropriateness of product for desired space and use.
• Measuring client spaces and drawing floor plans to scale.
• Writing sales agreements and work orders: computer generated quotes, work orders, and hand written sales orders.
• Maintaining a clean and organized showroom.

Skills

• Reading blue prints and floor plans.
• Use of measuring tape and laser measuring tools.
• Color & Design basics.
• Consistent and clear communication with clients and coworkers: in-person, phone, and electronic communication.
• Basic math skills: determining areas
• Experience with BlueBeam Revu and 20-20 Design software helpful.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
