This position is a vital part of our large team. It supports Penn Children's Center's fundamental philosophy, "learning through play."
Job Description
The responsibilities include promoting each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, teaching and supervising children aged 12 weeks to 5 years and adhering to NAEYC, Keystone Stars, and DPW guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities Include :
Qualifications :
A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Studies, EC Special Education, or Elementary Education plus 3-5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
A Bachelor's Degree outside the early childhood field must be supplemented by at least three years of experience in a NAEYC-accredited program, at least three years of experience in a non-accredited program, and at least 30 hours of relevant training during the past three years.
About Penn Children's Center :
The Penn Children's Center is for children ages three months to five years. Located on the University campus, the Center is administered by the Division of Business Services.
Enrollment in the Penn Children's Center is open to all members of the University and surrounding communities, with preference given to faculty, staff, post-docs, and students of the University.
