We are working with a globally known organization who is looking for a new Engineering Director at one of their most important contracts. This new position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented engineering leader to make a significant impact within the healthcare sector in San Francisco. The position involves managing the maintenance and engineering of multiple hospitals and managing up to 80 engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple sites in the San Francisco area
- Develop and implement engineering strategies to support the company's goals and objectives
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of healthcare-related products and systems
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that engineering projects are aligned with overall company objectives
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the engineering department
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of engineering staff and provide mentorship and guidance as needed
- Ensure that engineering projects are completed on time and within budget
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in healthcare engineering to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Previous experience in the healthcare sector is highly preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
