One of Insight Global's clients, a natural gas marketing company, is hiring for an Accounting Analyst in Birmingham, AL. This entry level position is an opportunity to be an integral part of the Accounting and Finance team. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance and Risk Management and the Director of Accounting.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for timely entry of all things accounting, A/R, A/P, overhead, cash transactions.
Help with phone and email inquiries from customers and suppliers
Assisting Director of Accounting with treasury management with positive pay and wire/ach processing
Assist in preparing state and local sales taxes monthly
Research/resolve any accounting discrepancies, as necessary.
Prepare Journal Entries for accounting review/entry when necessary.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in accounting OR 2 years of experience in a related position
Excellent MS Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Prior experience with or knowledge of the natural gas industry
Experience with accounting software (MS Dynamics Solomon or MS Business Central)
