Insight Global is Hiring an Accounts Payable Assistant Near Madison, WI
This is a 6-month contract to hire onsite in Madison, WI
Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for processing employee reimbursements, facilitating vendor invoices and payments. This role verifies and records transactions, assists with vendor set-up, and performs other tasks ensuring bills & reimbursements are paid timely.
Essential Functions: Job functions are not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this position. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Basic Functions of this position are:
Review and enter employee reimbursements daily
Work with employees and managers to ensure compliance with company reimbursement policies
Initiate new vendor requests for employee reimbursements.
Enter all invoices into the accounting software and scan any invoices not received electronically.
Accurately cost code and classify all vendor and contractor invoices
Enter invoices for utilities for all markets monthly
Entering permits as applicable
Assist with any other accounts payable duties as needed.
Qualifications: To effectively perform the duties for this position, individuals must be able to demonstrate competencies that are essential to the position, which include:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or 2-3 years’ relevant experience required.
Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters and customer/employee information.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs
Strong organizational ability and attention to details with meticulous recordkeeping.
Effective corporate communication skills.
Work effectively on a team and across the organization.
Ability to multitask and prioritize to consistently meet deadlines.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
