Job Title: Advanced Practice Nurse

Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire

Location: New Brunswick, NJ

Pay Rate: $65-75/hr

Shifts: M-F, 8-5pm (OUTPATIENT)

Must-Haves

• 2-3 years of APN experience
• NP certified in NJ
• MSN (Masters Degree in Nursing)
• Comfortable treating patients within a GI clinic and educating residents and student physicians

Plusses:

• GI experience
• EPIC experience

Day to Day:

• Participates in a collegial relationship with the physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals in the Gastroenterology Division.
• The provider will . coordinate care of direct access referrals from other physicians or practices
• Triages direct access referrals to either direct endoscopy, urgent tele visit with themselves with early follow up endoscopy by physician, or office visit with physician
• Discusses care and follow up with coordinating physicians
• Follows up on all medical clearances, and pertinent tests to ensure that patients can have safe endoscopic exams in a timely fashion
• Is able to determine safe pre endoscopy clearance, including the need for a PAT evaluation
• Follows up on post endoscopy recommendations including the coordination of follow up exams, endoscopy or necessary medications
• Follow up on endoscopic pathology and direct patient to pertinent referrals at the discretion of the supervising physician
