Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• A minimum of 8 years of related experience in the construction field.
• Familiarity with NYC public building projects and NYC building department filing, rules, and requirements.

Pluses:

• Prior experience in NYC public agency, SCA, and/or NYCA projects preferred but not required.

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking several Superintendents to support our client in Manhattan. This position would be supporting a public agency working on a broad variety of projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Onsite Supervision, daily reports, ensuring contractors are compliant (more then specs, advise on safety)
• Teach the contractors in a mentorship program (training what expectations are for the client)
• Coordinate, schedule, and manage all subcontractors and vendors.
• Expedite vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis.
• Identify and resolve construction problems as they develop.
• Maintain accurate time-keeping and cost records.
• Supervise self-perform work and develop special construction methods for job efficiency.
• Manage material receiving: Ensure that material received is properly inspected for quantity and quality, and that receiving tickets are properly signed, coded, and filed.
• Comply with all jobsite reporting requirements, including daily reports, field purchase orders, weekly unit reports, weekly updates to the “two-week look-aheads,” and monthly updates to the construction schedule.
• Familiarize with shop drawings and submittals, and assist project managers in complying with the submittal schedule, contract documents, and company reporting requirements.
• Attend required jobsite meetings.
• Maintain quality consistent with company standards.

Additional Information:

• Candidates must be comfortable working on the 2nd shift schedule (3 - 11 PM).
• Experience with emergency programs and a broad knowledge of construction is desirable.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to adapt to the New York construction management market and technology.

Annual Compensation:

$120,000 - $125,000
