Insight Global is looking for a Civil Engineer in the Sacramento, CA area!! Below is more information of what we are looking for in candidates and what to expect on a day to day in the role:

Must-Haves:

* Registered as an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Minnesota

* Have an active NCEES record (Or be eligible to obtain within 90 days of employment).

* 2-3 years of experience in failure analysis, knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction, building codes, design, or related experience

* Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)

* Required to have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record.

* Required to have strong technical writing abilities with experience using Microsoft Word

* Required to meet all standards for pre-employment physical examination

Day-to-Day:

In this role, you will conduct site studies to evaluate damages to building materials or components for both residential and commercial structures. This includes assessing roof systems, foundations, water intrusion, cladding elements, construction defects, and complete structural systems. Your work will involve writing detailed technical reports based on completed site investigations. Additionally, you'll provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. On occasion, you may be required to offer expert testimony or participate in depositions related to assigned projects. This company has a dedicated Litigation Department to support project managers in these legal matters. Proactively seeking additional training, mentoring opportunities, licenses, education, and certifications (with costs covered by company) is encouraged. You should also be willing to work extra hours during peak business demand as determined by engineering management. Travel may be necessary for work assignments outside your home region, including daily and overnight travel for facilitating investigations.

***Compensation: $85k to 130k

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
