Must Haves:

• Associates degree-any sort of technical degree
• 1-3 years of professional experience (including internships)-testing background (laboratory), technical experience, manufacturing background
• Strong work ethic and personality to blend with team
• How to read and execute procedures
• Ability to write reports
• Outstanding communication/organizational skills

Plusses:

• Basic understanding of FDA, EU MDR and Spectaris C&D guidance, along with global medical device regulations, requirements, and standards preferred

Day to day:

Testing certain cleaning agents and impact the agents have on the devices and masks. Put artificial test oils on device, put cleaning agent on, send to labs to analyze if cleaning method was successful. Visually analyzing products after test has been done.

The selected candidate will work focus on assessing and testing cleaning and disinfection (C&D) methods of medical devices for compliance to International Standards and FDA Guidance. They will be examining the interaction between cleaning solutions, for example, with plastics and materials Philips uses to create devices. Additional responsibilities include testing products at the system level.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Work with a team to assess new or changed C&D methods for products
  • Identify/generate validation test protocols
  • Hold formal technical reviews to determine methods, sample sizes, inoculation points, treatment cycle counts
  • Prepare test sample sets for external labs (validation testing) and internal labs (performance testing)
  • Monitor test progress to provide status updates during project meetings
• Manage C&D testing with outside test labs.
  • Prepare samples for testing
  • Execute C&D protocols
