Job Description
A company based in San Diego is looking for a Contract Specialist to join their team! The average day will consist of a mix of tactical work (creating purchase orders, setting up a bid event in a e-tool, drafting amendments, creating Ariba contract workspaces, etc.) and strategic work. Each day will be a bit different. Strategic work includes but is not limited to working with counsel to review redlines to key contractual terms, developing a nuanced pricing workbook with a project team, conducting pricing analysis, conducting market analysis, working with a team to assess options on how to respond to supplier requests for contract changes and customizing exhibits in anticipation of an RFP launch. This role is more strategic in nature, ~80% of the individuals time will be dedicated to strategic work.
