Title: Engineer II

Duration: 12 months, ongoing extensions
Location: Hybrid – San Ramon, CA 3 days/week in office
Must Haves:
- 3-5 years of engineering experience ideally in electrical operations
- Electrical Engineering Degree or similar
- Able to understand and read electrical construction drawings, designs, & diagrams
- Competent in SAP, Outlook, Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work cross-functionally with other teams throughout organization
Plusses:
- PE could be advantageous
- Previous experience with PG&E standards and/or PG&E greenbooks
Day to Day:
Insight Global’s Manage Service Division partners with a large local utility company and their Electric Wholesale energy division. Insight Global’s team works to enforce a FERC negotiated tariff to determine intervening service points for City & County of San Francisco including new services and existing services. It is timeline driven and involves working with several groups inside and outside of PG&E to ensure projects move forward accordingly. We are in need of an experienced Engineer to act as the primary Owner of the Application Desk with a Planner-Level Review to reduce handoffs to Service Planning, work with current admin team to keep projects within tariff timelines and escalate more sophisticated cases appropriately. You’ll be responsible for reviewing engineering documents and verifying they are correctly signed off by a PE.
