• Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• 4 years of design experience in the highway transportation field.
• Familiarity with project delivery for State Agency Transportation Departments.
• Strong experience with SolidWorks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, and either InRoads or Geopak.
• Proficiency in CAD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD).

Plusses:

• Familiarity with InRoads, ORD and other relevant software packages.
• Experience supporting Delaware DOT.
• Experience with MicroStation ORD.

The Highway Design Project Engineer plays a critical role in the transportation infrastructure sector. This position involves designing and overseeing the construction of roads, bridges, tunnels, and large parking lots. The engineer focuses on roadway alignment, traffic control devices, drainage facilities, lighting, and pavement markings. The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers, perform engineering tasks, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality highway engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with experienced project managers to work on transportation projects.
2. Perform engineering tasks related to highway design, adhering to relevant design criteria, standards, and processes.
3. Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
4. Assist in maintaining existing client relationships and building new ones.

Compensation:

$75,000/yr to $101,000/yr.
