Day-to-day:
Insight Global is seeking a Jr. Systems Engineer for one of our investment clients in Boston, MA. This role will be onsite in Back Bay at least four days per week and sometimes has an occasional Friday remote.
We are looking for someone who is extremely passionate about IT and wants to learn more in the cybersecurity/DevOps realm of IT. In this role you will be joining an IT team of three to complete any help desk related tickets (be the primary point of contact for hardware or software issues that arise for office employees) as well as working with the entire IT department on various projects and tasks that come up while they continue to upgrade their infrastructure to include new technologies and services. Our client has about 75 employees and they receive about 10-20 tickets per day. You will be required to wear multiple hats in this role. Projects will vary from helping evaluate DevOps technologies like ansible and terraform to working with the team to manage their cloud environment and help automate various tasks to make their systems run more smoothly.
Other responsibilities will include:
Primary point of contact for technical support of office employees for hardware and software related problems involving the cloud, networking, cyber security, desktop computers, laptops, printers, phones, and email.
Work with us to change up to new systems and solutions as new technologies can better protect us and optimize our IT Infrastructure.
- Support real time trading of millions of dollars by managing a LAN/WAN trading environment including servers, desktops, mobile devices etc.
- Maintain documentation of day-to-day procedures and internal IT processes.
Compensation:
$70,000 to $85,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
