Job Description:
A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Lead Estimator. This individual will be joining the Custom Engineering division.
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering project specifications, prints, and related documents.
- Analyze prints and project details
- Manage project lists and vendor requests
- Input labor and material costs into database and/or excel
- Present estimates to management and other stakeholders
- Continually review work instructions and manuals
- Vet and scheduling projects daily
- Develop employees to maximize potential
- Monitor employee’s performance
- Preform employee reviews and assessments
- Assist with new employee onboarding and training program
Must Haves:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of automotive or packaging estimation experience
- 1-2 years of leadership/management
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Intermediate Excel (PivotTables)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Ability to assess employee performance, coach, and develop others
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications accurately
Highly Preferred:
- Associates
- SAP experience
$30hr to $38/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
