Must Haves:

• Trouble shooting experience (i.e. experience with a systematic process being used to identify and resolve issues with machines or equipment)

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a shift technician for one of our manufacturing clients in the upstate of SC. To be considered, candidates must have strong machinery maintenance experience. The company primarily works in automotive interiors and this position will be in their lamination facility, which can be described as a specialized manufacturing or production center where various materials are laminated together to create components used in car interiors.

The primary responsibility for this role will be machine maintenance which involves a set of recurring actions to ensure equipment and machinery operate at optimal efficiency and safety. Some key aspects of machinery maintenance include:

• Regular inspections
• Maintenance technicians perform routine inspections on machinery to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
• Servicing and lubrication
• Regular servicing includes cleaning, lubricating moving parts, and adjusting components.
• Proper lubrication ensures smooth operation, reduces friction, and extends the lifespan of machinery.
• Repairs and replacements
• Preventative maintenance:
• changing filters, belt adjustments, calibrations, cleaning, electrical checks
• Predictive Maintenance:
• Predicts when equipment might fail based on performance trends, temperature variations, vibration levels, etc.
• Safety Checks:
• Ensuring safety features like emergency stop buttons, guards, and interlocks are functional
• Documentation and records:
• Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements.

In addition, there will be some building response maintenance. No experience is required, and they will not be doing any work on the building, but their day to day will include handling anything with the building until the facilities team can get to it the next day.
