Insight Global is looking to hire a Secret cleared Quality Assurance Manager for one of our top DoD clients in the Old Town area of San Diego. This position will support the US Navy. We are looking for someone that has experience in a production floor/restoration/repair environment or familiarity with Naval requirements - ISO9001or similar
In this role you will:
- Assures consistent quality of production, repair and restoration by developing and enforcing good industry practices, Depot standard operating procedures (SOP), and appropriate SPAWAR policies and procedures.
- Validates processes; provides documentation; and manages staff. Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
- Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories. Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
- Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
- Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Supervises quality assurance inspectors, ensures priorities, schedule, and quality assurance is maintained. Provides OJT and instruction as necessary.
REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years’ experience in restoration/repair depot with emphasis on managing quality management systems (ISO9001:2008 or equivalent).
