Job Description

* Develop software and system for multicast download functionality for use in HP factories and partners/OEMs.

* Design a multicast network solution that will function in existing Type 2 (current gen configuration) and new K8S (Kubernetes) environment.

* Develop specifications, user guides, installation instruction, troubleshooting procedures and training materials as needed.

Skills and Requirements

* Networking Knowledge: Understanding of network layers, especially the transport layer (Layer 4) and application layer (Layer 6,7), is crucial. This includes familiarity with multicast protocols and how data is transmitted across networks.

* Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages that are commonly used for network programming, such as C/C , Java, or Python.

* Multicast Technologies: Experience with multicast technologies and the ability to evaluate and implement multicast protocols that meet specific requirements.

* Software-Defined Networking (SDN): Knowledge of SDN, which can be used to manage network resources through a centralized interface, is beneficial for developing multicast applications.

* System Design: Ability to design systems that can handle complex tasks like managing data streams, ensuring all data reaches the endpoint, and handling data collisions and retries.

Pay Range: 50-60/HR null
