Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer - Altium Designer

Location: Indianapolis, IN – 6125 E 21st St.

Schedule: Onsite – 3-5 days per week. Prefer 5 but can be flexible to 3 days on hybrid schedule.

Duration: 6-12 month contract to hire

Pay Rate: $50-70/hr, can potentially be flexible for the right candidate!

Must Haves:

• 10 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Hardware Design
• Experience with Digital Circuit Card development, microcontrollers, microprocessors
• Experience with schematic capture, component selection, simulation, etc.
• Altium experience
• Experience with full life cycle development
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance

Plusses:

• Master’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• DOD or Aerospace or military background

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Altium Design to support a large client in Indianapolis, IN. The Sr. Altium Designer should have a strong understanding of full life cycle electrical hardware design and development. They will be responsible for digital circuit card development, microcontrollers, and microprocessors. The Sr. Designer will be leading the development phase. This will include but not be limited to component selection, circuit architecture, block diagram development, understanding requirement analysis, trade studies, etc. They will not be concerned with embedded development but more so concerned with how to hook up the micros and connecting with peripheral devices.

This candidate will also be responsible for understanding how do you work with a systems team to work out requirements, what is architecture going to look like, doing prototype builds, system level integration, etc.
