Insight Recruitment is Hiring a Fire Alarm Inspector Near Lincoln, NE

We are looking to hire a licensed Fire Alarm Inspector for a well-established company with an excellent name in the industry. This role focuses on fire alarm inspections and identifying deficiencies, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality service.

You will service, test, repair, and maintain electronic life safety systems in commercial and industrial environments. Our unique cross-training offerings in other services (this is optional to those who want to add more skills to this own personal skills inventory list) ensures if you want to move into a different area of the business, you’ll have that opportunity down the road. This position requires a high level of customer service to ensure client satisfaction and safety. Salary: $24-37/hour plus excellent benefits, bonus, and perks.

Summary:

As a fire alarm inspector, you will service, test, repair, and maintain electronic life safety systems in commercial and industrial environments. This position also emphasizes providing exemplary customer service to ensure client satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough fire protection system inspections and preventative maintenance services on diverse life safety systems.
  • Ensure all systems and devices (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly and comply with the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Deliver effective and organised technical support and communication to clients.
  • Complete and submit any required paperwork to the appropriate agency or internal department promptly.
  • Maintain a positive work environment and atmosphere of respect and building trust when interacting with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake additional duties or special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • State of NE Fire Alarm Inspector license, OR
  • NICET Level II certification
  • for Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems (ITFAS) or
  • Fire Alarm Systems (FAS).
  • Must have or be willing and able to obtain specified licenses/certifications, including NICET levels, for the fire alarm industry per state regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (local travel, rare overnight travel)
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and comfortable with web-based applications.
  • Strong knowledge of fire and electrical codes for proper inspection and installation of systems.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry skills/knowledge.
  • Able to travel as needed (company vehicle provided as part of your comp plan).
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems.
