Insight Recruitment is Hiring a Service Technicians (Varying levels) Near Springfield, MO

We have several opportunities for varying levels of Service Technicians with a solid career path, that involves more cross-training than most in this industry, with tuition and certifications paid for. This company is very well-established and is one of the country's top systems integrators.

Salary ranges from $23-$37/hour including excellent benefits and PTO.

50% travel is required with a clean valid state drivers license.

The Service Technician is responsible for daily activities of Service and Support to our Clients.

In this role you will: inspect and maintain all of our technology solutions including:

  1. Access Control,
  2. Audio/Visual,
  3. Fire Alarm,
  4. Healthcare Communications,
  5. Sound Systems,
  6. Video Surveillance.

You are the front-line support of our business. From football stadiums, to hospitals, schools and banks, you'll immerse yourself throughout the Midwest being hands-on with the technology that powers it.

We have 3 Tiers of Service Technicians: Tier I is covered above and Tier II & Tier III youll support our customers, Service Technicians, Installation Technicians, and other employees with support calls at a more advanced level than Tier I.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TIER I:

  • Researches, troubleshoots, and problem-solves issues that arise
  • Inspects devices and provides quality reports on the functionality of customer systems
  • Recommends preventative maintenance on systems
  • Communicates (written and verbal) effectively to internal and external customers
  • Point of escalation for difficult customer cases and de-escalates situations as needed
  • Interacts professionally and tactfully with others on job-sites
  • Networking and set up remote support
  • Provides on-site client training as required

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs work in adherence to OSHA and company safety policies and procedures as they are introduced to the company; promptly reports unsafe work conditions to supervisor
  • Cultivates positive working relationships within and across departments
  • Engages in behaviors that foster a healthy work environment and company culture

REQUIREMENTS FOR TIER I:

  • Associates Degree in Electronics preferred (not required)
  • Valid State Drivers license
  • Work independently & on teams as needed
  • Willingness to travel overnights as needed
  • Willingness to work weekends when necessary
  • End-User Training Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years technical experience

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TIER II:

  • Receives support calls escalated by Tier 1 and provide remote troubleshooting support to clients
  • Documents all troubleshooting steps performed per support call; escalate to Tier 3, as required
  • Serves as Tier 3, on-site client support upon request
  • Provides training for the technical staff to develop and maintain the skills required providing the highest level of support for products that the company promotes
  • Ensures consistent adherence to company-established technical service standards, thereby insuring the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Resolves customer problems or complaints relating to support calls are promptly addressed and documented as per company policies and/or guidelines
  • Provides proper tools, materials and test equipment to maintain the highest technical quality possible within the constraints of strong financial management
  • Maintains accurate service supplies and materials inventory levels to ensure adequate availability for support calls
  • Assists with offsite Alarm Central account setup and troubleshooting
  • Provides feedback to Managed Services on customer needs for Complete Care offerings and is involved in updated offerings
  • Assist in R&D of company provided solutions
  • Maintain Chargeability of 80%

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TIER III:

  • Strong researching, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills
  • Able to provide excellent customer experience
  • Be a point of escalation for difficult customer cases, de-escalating the situation where needed
  • Adaptability to work independently and part of a team bringing in experts when needed
  • Current concepts around secure remote PC access/VPN
  • Setup and use of TeamViewer and other remote software
  • Passion for technology and learning
  • Experience with offsite Alarm Central account setup and troubleshooting
  • Ability to deploy on-site solutions when needed
  • Pass a pre-employment test/drug screen
  • Willing to travel when necessary
  • Willing to work overtime/weekends when necessary

EXPERIENCE:

  • Nebraska State Fire Alarm Inspector License (Possess or be able to obtain within 6 months)
  • Nebraska Fire Alarm Installer License (Possess or be able to obtain within 6 months)
  • NICET II in Fire Alarm Systems Certification (Preferred but not required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL TIERS:

  • Must be able to climb and work off ladders and scaffolding
  • Must be able to walk, stoop, push, pull, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift 75lbs when necessary
  • Ability to perform activities such as operate power tools and aerial lifts
  • Ability to work with hazards and a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, etc.
