We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant specializing in Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) to join our dynamic finance team. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of inventory accounting and COGS analysis, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, proper recording of transactions, and detailed analysis of COGS to support financial reporting and business decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:
o Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely and accurate recording of inventory transactions.
o Perform regular inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
o Ensures that physical inventory counts are completed monthly at each store location, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
o Monitor and analyze inventory movements, including purchases, transfers, and adjustments.
o Calculate and analyze COGS to ensure accuracy and completeness.
o Prepare detailed COGS reports and variance analysis.
o Monitor and analyze cost trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations.
o Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to understand cost drivers and implement cost control measures.
o Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory and COGS accounting.
o Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve data integrity.
o Maintain and control the general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as in compliance with Corporate Accounting guidelines.
o Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
o Review and analyze financial information, prepare financial reports and accounting statements for senior management to accurately and timely make financial decisions.
o Develop internal processes to adhere to changing business requirements and evolving business regulations.
o Assume additional responsibilities and assist with projects as needed.
