Location: Remote US travel
Duration: 12 months (with the option to extend another 12 months)
Compensation: Competitive Hourly

Skillset / Experience:
Lease Construction Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the onsite construction, commissioning, and turnover of Data Center Fitout projects in leased properties.
- Support the Lead Construction Manager (CM) with contractor, designer, and vendor management.
- Oversee the construction scope, including retrofits of existing data halls and new builds within the leased portfolio across North America.
- Coordinate projects between Contractors, Landlords, Consultants, and Cross-Functional Partners.
- Provide construction leadership by maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional partners, consultants, vendors, landlords, and contractors.
- Identify opportunities to drive efficiency through innovation, process, and accountability.
- Plan and scope projects by working with cross-functional partners and internal customers.
- Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules.
- Manage cost changes and negotiate pricing in partnership with cross-functional team members.
- Ensure reliable and predictable turnover dates by managing schedules and associated risks.
- Validate work in place for invoicing through monthly WIP walks and regular site walks.
- Manage relationships with contractors and designers.
- Develop capital project budgets and provide ROM construction cost estimates.
- Forecast monthly CapEx for all project-related costs.
- Analyze and create action plans based on weekly project status reports.
- Manage Method of Procedures (MOPs) for retrofit/remedy work in live data centers.
- Facilitate interactions between Contractors, Owner, and third-party QA/QC teams.
- Oversee Project Closeout.
- Escalate key issues to the Construction Manager promptly.
- Promote continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork.
- Support and lead a top-tier safety culture and program.
- Travel approximately 50% to support project sites across North America.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in construction, operations, maintenance, or project planning.
- 7-10 years of experience in the design or construction of data centers/critical infrastructure.
- General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and connectivity systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from $600K to $100M.
- Experience with mission-critical, infrastructure, and/or data center construction.
- Experience in commissioning retrofit and new leased data center build outs.
- Familiarity with CPM scheduling practices and Primavera P6 software.
- Proficiency in MS Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Preferred experience working in leased facilities (not mandatory).
- Construction management for large-scale projects
- Mission-critical, infrastructure, and/or data center construction experience
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Past experience working in leased facilities
- Meet with contractors, review project progress, budgets, and schedules, manage change orders, focus on job site presence, and act as the first point of contact with cross-functional partners and contractors.
