Compensation: $200,000 - $210,000

The ideal candidate should have broad knowledge and experience in software development, cloud infrastructure, and security principles.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable, multi-tenant Kubernetes solutions that support diverse operational needs across group companies.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate the setup and deployment of Kubernetes clusters, ensuring repeatable and efficient processes.
- Simplify the Kubernetes deployment process to create a user-friendly environment that abstracts underlying complexities.
- Develop and maintain a robust monitoring framework to manage and oversee Kubernetes cluster services and fleet operations effectively.
- Create detailed documentation of the Kubernetes architecture, deployment processes, and monitoring frameworks.
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for the current staff to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing operational excellence.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including cluster setup, scaling, and management.
- Expertise in Docker and other containerization technologies, along with container registry management.
- Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Strong experience with cloud computing services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including familiarity with their managed Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Ability to implement comprehensive monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
- Competence in scripting and automation using languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
- Knowledge of network and security best practices within Kubernetes environments.
- Ability to act both as an individual contributor and as a technical leader within large, diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Proficiency in GitOps methodologies, particularly using Flux, to maintain consistency and reliability across Kubernetes deployments.
- Experience with Kubernetes Operators for managing complex applications within the Kubernetes environment.
- Knowledge in managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters using fleet management practices to ensure streamlined operations across multiple deployments.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage advanced Kubernetes features and tools to optimize and secure containerized applications.
