INSPYR Solutions is Hiring a Technical Program Manager I Near Redmond, WA

Title: Technical Program Manager

Location: Redmond, WA

Duration: 6 months

Compensation: $50-70/hr

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders, or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Job Description:

The main function of a Technical Program Manager is to provide successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex programs requiring cross-functional collaboration and interdependencies across multiple projects and related activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver programs within scope, quality, time, and budget constraints under moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors.
  • Engage in program-level strategic planning, executive-level management interactions, complex issue resolution, excellent communication, and team-building.
  • Manage internal exempt and matrixed employees and contractors on projects to deliver systems and enhancements meeting specified requirements.
  • Oversee project scope definition and management, requirements gathering and documentation, time estimating, project schedule development and tracking, project budget management, project status reporting, issue and risk management, contingency planning, customer interaction, and communications across multiple organizational levels.
  • Work on different workstreams (EPM or TPM), managing 2-4 workstreams, vendor management, budget management, status updates, and escalation.
  • Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
  • Direct, review, and approve product designs and changes.
  • Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.

  • Project estimating, scheduling & tracking, customer interaction and management, implementation planning in large organizations.
  • Proven people management and team-building skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and work well with business partners at different levels.
  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.
  • Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity.
  • Existing hardware experience managing programs.
  • Ability to work with researchers and PhD-level professionals.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • PMP or PMI certification preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Material Science, or Manufacturing.
  • Experience managing vendors.
  • Experience working with research organizations.
